We wanted to create this zine because of the particular time and place we are in now with the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as related anti-Asian racism, Black Lives Matter uprisings, and Indigenous land and water defenders asserting their rights and sovereignty. The world is changing quickly, but the foundation is centuries deep and people have been dreaming of change for many years. We also want to reduce and mend some of the harm perpetuated towards and by Asian people.
This zine is a part of how we can cultivate our individual and collective healing and growth.
